Eusoh (you-so) is a simple, affordable, subscription-based alternative to insurance. Instead of a company dictating how your money is spent, Eusoh aims to empower our members to share costs between themselves. Our mission is simple: better, more affordable health protection for our pets and peace of mind for our finances!

Eusoh’s name is derived from the biological term “eusociality”, the highest level of social organization in nature. A key feature of eusocial species is their cooperation in caring for each other – just like Eusoh!

No, we’re not insurance and we don’t pretend to be. While Eusoh offers similar protection to traditional insurance options, the way we do things is very different. Eusoh is a community-based subscription service that doesn’t collect premiums in advance (and doesn’t manage risk). Instead, utilizing the power of community and modern technology, our members only pay for costs after they happen. Eusoh manages administration, checks for fraud, ensures members are in good standing, audits bills and expenses, and moves the funds. Our subscription fee is the only way that Eusoh makes money - our revenue isn’t linked to premiums or how much or how little you spend a month. We don’t make more money by not helping you out. We purposely disconnected our revenues to ensure our interests are always aligned with yours!

Pets are our family and we want nothing but the best care for them. However, we also want to be smart about our finances. Your monthly subscription fee is $17. Your expense-share contributions will vary depending on how many expenses are submitted to your group and Eusoh community that month. On our homepage you can view the average member contribution per month over the last 3 months. You will always know who in your group you’re supporting and Eusoh guarantees you will never pay more than $65 in a month (and that includes your subscription fee)! *

Please keep in mind that each pet is considered its own subscription. Each pet will have its own subscription fee, initial deposit, and will be responsible for monthly expense sharing.

No, Eusoh is simply a platform where members share veterinary expenses.

Yes! With Eusoh, there is no network of providers, use any veterinarian you want!

Eusoh is currently available in the US. However, we have plans to expand to international markets soon!

Getting started with Eusoh is simple:

  1. Sign up to create your account
  2. Add your pet and complete their pet questionnaire
  3. Link your payment account and submit your initial $48 deposit
  4. Submit and share expenses with the Eusoh community!

When you go to the veterinarian, you will pay for services upfront and submit your invoice/receipt to the Eusoh community for reimbursement. Your reimbursement amount is based on national average pricing (compiled in our Procedure Guide) plus a variance to account for differences in pricing across the country.

The expense is shared with your group and the rest of the Eusoh community to disperse the burden fairly between members. The funds to help share those expenses are drawn from your deposit balance as needed. At the end of each month, you will refill that balance back to $48 to ensure funds are available to continue sharing expenses.

Additionally, should the costs get more expensive, the system brings more community members in (from other groups) as needed to help share the expense at a reasonable cost to you.

Your initial deposit is $48. The deposit is your pledge to your community as a promise-to-pay - it lets them know that when expenses are submitted, the funds are ready and available for sharing. When you join our community, you provide this refundable deposit that secures your spot in a cost-sharing group. Small portions of the deposit are drawn only when expenses are submitted. At the end of each month, you will refill your deposit balance back to the $48 amount. However, in any given month, you will never contribute more than $48!

Important to remember - when you join a group, you make a 1-year commitment to share expenses with other members. If you choose to leave before that time, you will forfeit your $48 deposit.

Your initial out of pocket per year is $250. Similar to a deductible, your initial out of pocket is the amount that you pay for your own costs before your group can begin sharing your expenses. This amount is a base amount that all pet owners should be expecting to spend every year for basic wellness. The annual OOP starts on the day you are accepted to your group, not the calendar year.

Please be aware, that because Eusoh is not insurance, the 20% member share still applies to all expenses submitted to the Eusoh system, regardless of whether the OOP has been fulfilled or not. Additionally, reimbursable amounts will be based on the average pricing in our Procedure Guide ± a regional variance.

Your member share is 20%. This means that you’re responsible for 20% of any expense that you submit to the system. The group shares the remaining 80%. It’s that simple!

The annual maximum reimbursement is $8,500 per pet, per year. This is the maximum amount you can be reimbursed by the Eusoh community during a year for veterinary expenses.

Subscription fees are $17 per month, per pet. Your subscription fee is the only source of revenue for Eusoh. We make no money off our members’ deposit funds or costs that are shared in the system - not even interest. This allows our interests to be 100% aligned with our members' well-being.

Yes, you must wait 30 days from when you are accepted to a group before you can submit an expense and that expense has to have occurred after the waiting period ends.

One frequently-used method of fraud comes from individuals who have upcoming expenses and join the system, get the expense paid for, and then drop. This is unfair to the honest members and it's an issue that really frustrates us. We want members who are committed to protecting each other’s pets. The ideal situation is that your protection starts immediately - but we have learned the hard way, that when we do this, the frequency of fraud and abuse of the system heavily outweighs the small percentage of owners that experience a bad mishap during that time.

Each pet maintains its own $48 initial deposit and has its own $17 monthly subscription fee. Additionally, each pet must contribute to group expenses each month. Just as each pet can submit expenses, each pet must share in expenses too!

Yes! If you add more than 2 pets, the 3rd and 4th pet will have a $10 subscription fee! If you have more than 4 pets, the 5th pet (and on) have free subscription! Please contact our support team at support@eusoh.com when you register, so they can apply the discount!

No, the Eusoh community accepts pets of all ages!

Eusoh groups do not accept pre-existing conditions and any expenses incurred prior to joining Eusoh, or that occur during the 30-day waiting period, are not covered by the community. However, there are community groups that are willing to accept pets with pre-existing conditions but those conditions will not be able to be submitted for reimbursement. One method that members with pre-existing conditions use to gain acceptance to a group is to state that they won't submit expenses relating to that specific condition but they would like help with everything else.
Overall, while pre-existing conditions are not disqualifying in terms of gaining membership to the Eusoh community, you are unable to receive reimbursement for those (or any related) conditions.

Previous or ongoing medical conditions are defined as any injury or illnesses that your pet shows symptoms of or is undergoing treatment for before joining our community (i.e. such as existing skin masses or allergies).
Any conditions that occurred prior to joining Eusoh must be listed on your pet's questionnaire during the registration process.

Your deposit is how we share costs with other members. It needs to be replenished so that you can stay active in our community. If you do not make your monthly contribution payments, your account will be deactivated and you will no longer be able to submit expenses. We know things happen so, if you have any issues or require additional support, please let the Eusoh team know by emailing us at support@eusoh.com!

Yes! If you are unable to join a group, navigate to the Billing dashboard where you will see the option to withdraw your deposit back to your payment account.

Getting reimbursed with Eusoh is simple:

  1. Go to your vet and pay for services up front.
  2. After your visit, upload a photo of your invoice and receipt to the Expenses dashboard.
  3. A Eusoh expense administrator will verify your expense.
  4. You will be responsible for your 20% member share for each expense you submit. The system will calculate how much of the expense is applied to your annual out-of-pocket (OOP), and, if that is reached, how much of the expense will be reimbursable. Reimbursable amounts will be based on the average pricing in our Procedure Guide ± a regional variance.
  5. At the end of the monthly billing cycle you will be able to withdraw your reimbursement back to your bank account or debit card from the Billing dashboard!

After your vet visit, all you need to do is upload a photo of your invoice and receipt to the Expenses dashboard. A Eusoh audit administrator will enter in your provider and invoice number. The expense will be inputted into the system where how much can be shared will be calculated. That amount will be transferred directly into your Eusoh deposit account, where you will be able to withdraw it directly to your bank account or debit card at the end of the monthly billing cycle.

On our How It Works page there's a table showing the general categories of services that are shareable within the Eusoh community. Additionally, the Eusoh team has compiled searchable services and medications lists with national average pricing on which reimbursement amounts are based.

For the searchable list, you can find it on your Dashboard once you have logged on using your email and password (or Facebook). If you've not created an account, it's absolutely FREE to do so and you will not be charged anything until you decide to join a cost-sharing group. Once you've entered your email and password, "x" out of the registration process and navigate to your Dashboard. You'll see a link to the Procedure Guide and Medications list in the navigation bar on your device.

Eusoh applies the American Veterinary Medical Association’s principles on the ethical treatment of animals. We will only utilize community funds to reimburse ethical care. If a veterinarian indicates treatment as futile, nor abiding by the AVMA’s policies for ethical care, community funds will not be deployed to reimburse this care. We ask our members to use their best judgment to follow these guidelines.

Expenses that are not shareable in the Eusoh community are as follows:

  • Routine Medications (Flea/Tick/Heartworm)
  • Spaying/Neutering
  • Dental Cleanings
  • Non-prescribed Supplements
  • Declawing/Dewclaw Removal
  • Ear Cropping/Tail Docking
  • Medicated Baths
  • Grooming
  • Routine Nail Trimming
  • Food
  • Breeding-Specific Expenses

When all of our members are submitting expenses for the same expected or monthly/routine expenses, it turns into a system where we are simply trading dollars and driving up monthly sharing costs for everyone. Eusoh reimburses the average cost of procedures plus a regional variance. This variance accounts for differences in prices across the country (i.e. a procedure in Gramercy Park could be more expensive than Mobile). For each expense you submit, you will be responsible for your out of pocket amount (the first $250 of expenses) as well as your member share (20% of each expense). Your group will share the remaining 80% of each expense.

Because Eusoh reimburses only the average cost of procedures plus a variance, if you see a provider who charges more than our reimbursable amount, you will be responsible for paying any amount over that variance and that portion will not be cost-shared by the group. Our hope would be that members encourage their trusted veterinarians to consider the average costs for services and that the transparency in the system will help pull expensive practices closer to the national average.

For all approved expenses, your funds will be available for withdrawal when the monthly billing cycle processes on the 28th of each month.

When expenses are submitted, a Eusoh expense administrator verifies the expense is legitimate and enters all relevant information related to that expense. Additionally, we may perform an audit if there is a large expense, suspicious activity in your group, or if you are flagged by another member. If misrepresentations are found, your account will be deactivated and your expense reimbursement may be denied. We want to reduce the risk of fraudulent activity, especially the creation of fake accounts and/or fake charges for reimbursement, to ensure that our members have the most secure and reliable community possible!

After your reimbursement is approved and processed, log in to your account and go to the Billing dashboard. From there, you will be able to withdraw funds, add additional payment accounts, and view all past invoices. Please be aware that you cannot withdraw funds to a credit card – they must be withdrawn to a debit card or ACH account.

Your dog swallows a grape and you pay a bill of $1000. Here’s how Eusoh helps you: after your initial out-of-pocket of $250 and your member share of 20%, the Eusoh community kicks in to reimburse you $550. The next month, your dog has a small skin infection. The cost of that treatment is $350. Since you have already paid your initial out-of-pocket, you only pay your member share of 20% and the rest is shared by your group. That’s a savings of nearly $1000!

You must submit your expense by the 28th of the month in which the expense occurred. Eusoh will not reimburse any expenses if more than 30 days have passed.

Our payment provider, SynapseFi, accepts three forms of payment and we do not store this info on our site. Please be aware of the associated transaction fees and limitations of each payment method (fees are automatically added to the total).

Credit Card
  • Transaction Fees: 3% + $0.30
  • Withdrawals: Reimbursements cannot be sent to credit cards.
  • Accepted card types: Visa/Mastercard, no American Express

If you link a credit card, when it is time to withdraw money back into your bank account, you will be prompted to add your bank account information at that time.

After logging in, navigate to your Account dashboard. You will be able to update your password as well as edit your privacy and notification settings. If you need to change anything else, please contact us at support@eusoh.com.

To maintain integrity and prevent fraudulent use of our system, pet profiles cannot be edited after submission. However, if you didn’t upload a picture of your pet during registration or have changed their name, simply navigate to your Pet dashboard and click on your pet’s profile. Click the edit option to update your profile with correct information. If you need to change anything else, please contact us at support@eusoh.com.

Our cancellation policy is as follows:

  • If you are an active member of a group, you are committed to sharing with your group for 1 year. If you do need to cancel during your annual commitment, you will, unfortunately, forfeit your initial deposit which will be used to help offset the expenses of the group that you left.
  • However, if you have not joined a group, you are free to cancel at any time.
In order to deactivate your account, please go to your Account dashboard. From there, click the deactivate button and your subscription will be closed. Once your account has been deactivated, you will no longer be charged your subscription fee to Eusoh.

In order to update your payment account, navigate to your Billing dashboard. Click the "Add New Account" button and follow the prompts provided by our payment provider, SynapseFi. Once that is complete, return to the Billing dashboard and click "Edit Defaults to designate which payment accounts will be used for payments and withdrawals.

Our Procedure Guide is constantly being updated to accurately reflect available procedures and average costs. As expenses are submitted, the costs of those procedures are added to our pricing. If you don’t see your procedure listed, please let us know at support@eusoh.com so we can evaluate the procedure to see if it is something shareable within our community.

In the case of this unfortunate event, please email us at support@eusoh.com and we will remove your pet’s profile so that you are no longer charged.

If you suspect fraud or a fellow group member is abusing the system, you have the ability to create a flag and list why you believe the user violated Eusoh group policies. The flag is invisible to the system and the person submitting the flag is anonymous. You can also use a flag on a group in the same way, if needed.

If you are flagged, it means that there is a concern that you may have violated one of Eusoh’s group policies. A Eusoh administrator will look into your flag, assess its validity and will determine the appropriate course of action. If the flag is approved, it is permanent. However, whether you are removed from the Eusoh system will be determined by the Eusoh administrator assigned to review the reason for flagging.

From your Account dashboard, you will see options to share Eusoh with your community on social media. Additionally, you can sign up to be a Eusoh ambassador!

To enter in the ambassador's code who referred you, please go to your Account dashboard and click the Promotions tab. You can view any promo codes or ambassador code if they're applied!

The Eusoh community is comprised of many different groups that have come together to share in the costs of veterinary care. We believe in the power of our community - your life shouldn't be dictated by a company. Whether it be friends, family, or people that share similar interests, members share expenses to ensure the best care for their pets. Instead of a company dictating how your money is spent, we want to empower our members to share costs between themselves. Check out some of our available groups and feel free to join the one that you like best! However, please keep in mind that because groups are self-selected, group acceptance is not guaranteed.

When you register and submit your initial deposit, you have three options:

  • Join the Eusoh moderated dog or cat group. The moderated groups are a great choice if you don't want to think about voting on new members. In order to make this possible, these groups cannot accept pets with previous or ongoing medical concerns. However, how you submit expenses or receive reimbursements will be the same as all other groups!
  • Join a Eusoh community group. Community groups freely associate based on whatever they want (but must abide by legal codes of ethics and civil rights). Groups are self-selected and group members vote on all new member requests!
  • Create your own group. You can create a group with your friends, family, neighbors, or you can join an existing group of other caring pet owners who share similar interests. Once your group reaches 10 members, it becomes active and can start sharing expenses!

When you look to join groups, you answer a basic questionnaire. This questionnaire serves as an “application” to your group and allows other members to see if you’re a fit for their group. Group members then have 24 hours to vote. However, acceptance to a group is not guaranteed.

In order for a group to go live, 10 members are required but there is no limit as to how large a group can be. Once group members add their financial information and submit their initial deposit, they can utilize the full sharing power of the Eusoh community!

When a new member completes registration and requests to join a group, all existing group members will receive an email notifying them of the request. You will log in to your Eusoh dashboard, review their questionnaire, and then approve/reject their request. Additionally, you will see all group requests on the social feed of your main dashboard.

If you are a member of a Eusoh moderated group, group voting will be administered by the Eusoh team.

Once a group request has been submitted, group members will have 24 hours to vote on the group request. However, the entire process may take up to 48 hours (and may be longer if the group request has been submitted on a weekend) due to the time required by our payment provider to process your deposit.

When a group is “active”, it means that they have the minimum number of members necessary to go live and share costs with one another. To allow for costs to disperse at reasonable levels, we require groups to reach 10 members before cost sharing is allowed to proceed.

If you are a member of the Eusoh Dogs or Eusoh Cats groups, you may change groups one time without penalty. Please notify support if you want to switch!

In order to change groups without a penalty, you must remain in your group for 1 year. Each year, your pet's subscription will come up for renewal and you can determine if you'd like to stay in your existing group or move to another. Group members will have the opportunity to vote to include you in the group for the next year.

If you want to change groups before your year is up, you will forfeit your initial deposit which will be used to offset the expenses from your previous group. You must then submit a new deposit when you apply to your new group. In between the time that you leave your previous group and join your next group, you are not protected by the Eusoh community and cannot submit expenses for reimbursement.

No, you can’t remove a member from your group. If you believe someone is abusing the system please flag them and we will investigate the issue as soon as possible. There are measures in place to prevent unfair use of the Eusoh system. If we find out a person has misled their fellow group members, they will be removed from the group and blocked from any further Eusoh activity.

Your expense sharing contribution begins calculating the day that you join your group!

Eusoh doesn’t only save you money, with our ambassador program, we want to put more money in your pocket! Simply refer new members and we will pay you once those members complete registration and submit their deposit. It’s that easy! You don't sell anything, you simply advocate Eusoh to the people you know. Being an ambassador is completely voluntary - there are no requirements to join. It’s a simple way to earn some money on the side while protecting pets in need!

We provide you with media files filled with simple-to-use tools that allow you to spread the word about Eusoh as well as your personal brand. As a Eusoh ambassador, you are a trusted advocate to help pets get the care they deserve at a cost everyone can afford. We know you love pets and we want to reward you for helping to spread the love!

Being an ambassador is straightforward. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and clients about Eusoh. It’s up to you to choose how many people you want to refer and how hard you want to work. So, let’s say you have a social following of 500 people and 200 of your followers sign up for Eusoh. If they complete the registration process and become active Eusoh community members, you can make up to $8,000 dollars!

It’s simple! Sign up for the Eusoh Ambassador program on our website or on Fervora and start referring your network. Each time a new member signs up using your ambassador code, completes their registration, and joins a group, you will get paid $40! The more referrals you have, the more money you make! At the end of each month, you’ll receive a check with your referral bonus!

In order for a registration to be considered valid, the user must register for Eusoh, add a pet, and join a group. Offer is only valid during the first year of subscription.

Subscribers are tracked when they enter your ambassador code at registration. They can also be tracked through a custom link that we can create for you. We also use Fevora for influencers. You can create links for Facebook and Instagram there.

No need to send us an email, we will see that you’ve become inactive in our system. Don’t worry, all of your referrals that are still active will continue to pay you your monthly bonus.
