What is Eusoh?
Eusoh (you-so) is a simple, affordable, and community-based alternative to insurance. The Eusoh platform empowers people to share the costs of life in a fully transparent and remarkably easy way.
Is Eusoh insurance?
No, we’re not insurance and we don’t pretend to be. While Eusoh offers similar protection to traditional insurance options, the way we do things is very different. We're just an extension of those closest to you – a gathering of your neighbors, friends, co-workers, and family that has the same mission: better, more affordable protections for our pets and peace of mind for our finances. If something does happen (because it will), you are protected by the Eusoh community.
Eusoh doesn’t collect premiums in advance and doesn’t manage risk. Because we only pay for costs after they occur, there is no monthly premium we collect in advance. Instead there is a monthly subscription fee to utilize our system, but this is independent and not tied to your monthly contribution. Our revenue isn’t linked to premiums or how much or how little you spend a month. We don’t make more money by not helping you out. We purposely disconnected our revenues to ensure our interests are always aligned with yours.
Does Eusoh provide veterinary services?
No. Eusoh is a crowdsharing platform where members share the cost of veterinary services. Eusoh members are free to see any vet they want and can submit those costs for reimbursement by our community!

Pets are our family and we want nothing but the best care for them. However, we also want to be smart about our finances. You don’t want to have to make a decision about your pet’s health care while worrying about whether or not you can afford their treatment. Eusoh is here to give you peace of mind.
What is a group?
The Eusoh community is comprised of several different groups that have come together to share in the costs of veterinary care. Instead of a company dictating how your money is spent, Eusoh aims to empower our members to share costs between themselves. Whether it be friends, family, or people that share similar interests, members share expenses to ensure the best care for their pets. Check out some of our available groups here and feel free to join the one that you like best!
How do I join a group?
In order to join a cost-sharing group, you must create an account, add your pet, and then submit a request to the group of your choosing. You will connect your preferred payment method and submit your initial $48 deposit. After 24 hours, you will receive an email with the result of your group request.
How does group voting work?
When a new member completes registration and requests to join a group, all existing group members will receive an email notifying them of the request. You will log in to your Eusoh dashboard, review their questionnaire, and then approve/reject their request. Additionally, you will see all group requests on the social feed of your main dashboard.
If you are a member of a Eusoh moderated group, group voting will be administered by the Eusoh team.
How long does group voting take?
Once a group request has been submitted, group members will have 24 hours to vote on the group request. However, the entire process may take up to 48 hours (and may be longer if the group request has been submitted on a weekend) due to the time required by our payment provider to process your deposit.
What is reimbursable/shareable?
On our How It Works page there's a table showing the general categories of services that are shareable within the Eusoh community. Additionally, the Eusoh team has compiled searchable services and medications lists with national average pricing on which reimbursement amounts are based.
For the searchable list, you can find it in your Dashboard once you have logged on using your email and password (or Facebook). If you've not created an account, it's absolutely FREE to do so and you will not be charged anything until you decide to join a cost-sharing group. Once you've entered your email and password, "x" out of the registration process and navigate to your Dashboard. You'll see a link to the Procedure Guide and Medications list in the navigation bar on your device.
Just remember, you must wait 30 days from your initial sign up before you can submit an expense and that expense has to have occurred after the waiting period ends.
What is not reimbursable/shareable?
Expenses that are not shareable in the Eusoh community are as follows:
- Declaw/Dewclaw Removal
- Ear Cropping/Tail Docking
- Routine Dental Cleaning
- Routine Nail Trimming
- Routine Medications (Flea/Tick/Heartworm)
- Breeding-Specific Expenses

How do I submit an expense and get reimbursed?
After your vet visit, all you need to do is upload a photo of your invoice and receipt to the Expenses dashboard. A Eusoh audit administrator will enter in your provider and invoice number. The expense will be inputted into the system where how much can be shared will be calculated. That amount will be transferred directly into your Eusoh account, where you will be able to withdraw it directly to your bank account or debit card.
How much will I be reimbursed?
Eusoh reimburses the average cost of procedures plus a small variance. This variance accounts for differences in prices across the country (i.e. a procedure in Gramercy Park could be more expensive than Mobile).
For each expense you submit, you will be responsible for your out of pocket amount (the first $250 of expenses) as well as your member share (20% of each expense). Your group will share the remaining 80% of each expense.
How much will I spend each month?
Your monthly subscription fee is $10. Your expense-share contributions will vary depending on how many expenses are submitted to your group that month. On our homepage, you can view the average member contribution per month. You will always know who in your group you’re supporting and Eusoh guarantees you will never pay more than $58 in a month (and that includes your subscription fee!)!*
*Please keep in mind that each pet is considered its own subscription. Each pet will have it’s own subscription fee, initial deposit, and will be responsible for monthly expense sharing.
Where is Eusoh available?
Eusoh is currently available exclusively in the US. Our international expansion is coming soon! Please email us at firstname.lastname@example.org if you'd like us to keep you in the loop.
How are costs shared?
Costs are shared within your group and community. Members submit costs and the system evaluates which costs can or cannot be shared by other members. The costs are shared throughout the system to disperse the burden fairly between members. Should the costs get more expensive, the system brings more community members (from other groups) in as needed to help share the expense at a reasonable cost to you.
What is my deposit?
Your initial deposit is $48. The deposit is your pledge to your community as a promise-to-pay - it lets them know that when expenses are submitted, the funds are ready and available for sharing. When you join our community you provide this refundable deposit that secures your spot in a cost-sharing group. Small portions of the deposit are drawn only when expenses occur. If your community has a good month of no expenses, you’ll pay nothing to other group members. However, in any given month, you will never contribute more than the $48 deposit amount.
Important to remember - when you join a group, you make a 1-year commitment to share expenses with other members. If you choose to leave before that time, you forfeit your $48 deposit.
What is my initial out of pocket?
Your initial out of pocket per year is $250. Similar to a deductible, each of us ultimately bears responsibility for ourselves before expecting others to do it on our behalf. Your initial out of pocket is the amount that you pay for your own costs before the system can begin sharing your expenses. This amount is a base amount that all pet owners should be expecting to spend on their loved one every year for basic wellness.
What is my member share?
Your member share is 20%. This means that you’re responsible for 20% of any expense that you submit to the system. The group shares the remaining 80%. It’s that simple!
What is my annual maximum reimbursable amount?
The annual maximum reimbursement is $8,500 per pet, per year. This is the maximum amount you can be reimbursed by the Eusoh community during a year for veterinary expenses.
What is my subscription fee?
Subscription fees are $10 per month per pet. Your subscription fee is the only source of revenue for Eusoh. We make no money off our members’ deposit funds or costs that are shared in the system - not even interest. This allows our interests to be 100% aligned with our members' well-being.
What if I don’t replenish my deposit one month?
Your balance is how we share costs with other members. It needs to be replenished so that you can stay active in our community. We know things happen so, if you have any issues or require additional support, please let the Eusoh team know by emailing us at email@example.com!
Is there a waiting period before my protection starts?
Yes, you must wait 30 days from when you are accepted to a group before you can submit an expense and that expense has to have occurred after the waiting period ends.
One frequently-used method of fraud comes from individuals who have upcoming expenses and join the system, get the expense paid for, and then drop. This is unfair to the honest members and it's an issue that really frustrates us. We want members who are committed to protecting each other’s pets. The ideal situation is that your protection starts immediately - but we have learned the hard way, that when we do this, the frequency of fraud and abuse of the system heavily outweighs the small percentage of owners that experience a bad mishap during that time.
Can I still use my own provider?
Absolutely! With Eusoh, there is no “network” of providers to worry about.
Can I sign up more than one pet?
Absolutely - we think all pets should have access to the care they deserve! All pets will be registered under the same Eusoh account. Too add an additional pet, go to the Subscriptions dashboard and fill out a questionnaire for each pet. Each pet in our community has its own $10 monthly subscription and initial $48 deposit. Just as each pet can submit expenses, each pet must share in expenses too.
Do you offer a multi-pet discount?
Not at this time, but we are planning on introducing a multi-pet discount in the near future. Please keep in mind that each pet will has its own deposit, monthly subscription fee, and monthly expense-sharing contribution.
Who can join a group?
Anyone can join a group! Groups freely associate based on whatever they want (but must abide by legal codes of ethics and civil rights). You can create a group with your friends, family, neighbors, or you can join an existing group of other caring pet owners who share similar interests.
When you look to join groups, you answer a basic questionnaire. We don’t do a background check on each questionnaire -- our system is built on trust so please answer the questionnaire as honestly as possible! Group members then have 24 hours to vote on whether or not you are a fit for their group. Acceptance to a group is not guaranteed.
Additionally, if there is suspicious activity in your group or you are flagged by another member, an audit will be performed and if misrepresentations are found, your account will be deactivated.
How many members are in each group?
In order for a group to go live, 10 members are required. However, there is no limit at this time as to how large a group can be. Once group members add their financial information and make their first pledge, they can utilize the full sharing power of the Eusoh community!
What does it mean when a group is "active"?
When a group is “active”, it means that they have the minimum number of members necessary to go live and share costs with one another. To allow for costs to disperse at reasonable levels, we require groups to reach 10 members before cost sharing is allowed to proceed.
What is a "moderated" group?
The Eusoh moderated groups are a great choice if you don't want to think about voting on new members. In order to make this possible, these groups cannot accept pets with previous or ongoing medical concerns. However, how you submit expenses or receive reimbursements will be the same as all other groups!
Can I change groups?
In order to change groups without a penalty, you must remain in your group for 1 year.
Each year, your pet's subscription will come up for renewal and you can determine if you'd like to stay in your existing group or move to another. Group members will have the opportunity to vote to include you in the group for the next year.
If you want to change groups before your year is up, you will forfeit your initial deposit which will be used to offset the expenses from your previous group. You must then submit a new deposit when you apply to your new group. Your 30-day waiting period to submit expenses resets and is calculated from the day you are accepted into your new group. In between the time that you leave your previous group and join your next group, you are not protected by the Eusoh community and cannot submit expenses for reimbursement.
Can you kick people out of your group?
No, you can’t remove a member from your group. If you believe someone is abusing the system please flag them and we will investigate the issue as soon as possible. There are measures in place to prevent unfair use of the Eusoh system. If we find out a person has misled their fellow group members, they will be removed from the group and blocked from any further Eusoh activity.
Can my animal with pre-existing conditions join a group?
We leave those details up to each group. There are some groups that will band together to help the unfortunate pets that have ailments already, and other groups that are first-time pet owners with little pups that are just trying to figure everything out. There are no limits to what groups you request to join and you can always create your own group as well.
All Eusoh moderated groups do not accept pets with previous or ongoing medical concerns.
What are flags?
If you suspect fraud or a fellow group member is abusing the system, you have the ability to create a flag and list why you believe the user violated Eusoh group policies. The flag is invisible to the system and the person submitting the flag is anonymous. You can also use a flag on a group in the same way, if needed.
How are flags used?
If you are flagged, it means that there is a concern that you may have violated one of Eusoh’s group policies. A Eusoh administrator will look into your flag, assess its validity and will determine the appropriate course of action. If the flag is approved, it is permanent. However, whether you are removed from the Eusoh system will be determined by the Eusoh administrator assigned to review the reason for the flagging.
Can you give me an example of an expense reimbursement?
Your dog swallows a grape and you pay a bill of $1000. Here’s how Eusoh helps you:
After your initial out-of-pocket of $250 and your member share of 20%, the Eusoh community kicks in to reimburse you $600. The next month, your dog has a small skin infection. The cost of that treatment is $350. Since you have already paid your initial out-of-pocket, you only pay your member share of 20% and the rest is shared by your group. That’s a savings of nearly $1000!
How long do I have to submit my expense to the system?
After going to the vet, you must submit your expense by the 28th of the month for your expense to be included in that month’s billing cycle.
How long before I’m reimbursed for an expense?
All approved expenses are reimbursed within the month the expense was submitted. However, the audit process is not always straightforward and we are often dependent on the providers responding to verification inquiries, delaying the process. However, the majority of expenses are processed within 24-48 hours. If you have any specific reimbursement questions please don’t hesitate to contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I withdraw my reimbursement to my bank?
After your reimbursement is approved, simply log in to your account and go to the Billing dashboard. From there, you will be able to withdraw funds, add additional payment accounts, and view all past invoices.
What if my cost is higher than the reimbursable amount?
Because Eusoh reimburses only the average cost of procedures plus a small variance, if somebody decides they need to see Dr. Expensive (who charges more than our reimbursable amount), they will be responsible for paying any amount over that variance and that portion will not be cost-shared by the group.
There may be members who’s vet they have been seeing for years, who often charges more than the reimbursable amount and do not wish to switch - and that’s fine. The community will still kick in for the reimbursable amount, and the member will pay anything over the variance themselves. Our hope would be that members encourage their trusted veterinarians to consider the average costs for services and that the transparency in the system will help pull expensive practices closer to the national average.
What happens if a procedure I want is not listed in your system?
Our services list is constantly being updated to accurately reflect available procedures and average costs. As expenses are submitted, the costs of those procedures are added to our pricing. If you don’t see your procedure listed, please let us know at email@example.com so we can evaluate the procedure to see if it is something shareable within our community.
What do I do at the vet?
With Eusoh, going to the vet is easy and hassle-free:
There is no card
When you see a provider, there is no usoh card - you just pay for services upfront.
It's not insurance
Remember you should never say you have "insurance" or "coverage". Eusoh is not insurance!

Use our database to research and compare providers, services, and medications. You can even do this in the waiting room!

Using the information from our resources, get the best care for a price you can afford.

Eusoh saves everyone money – and it does so by arming our members with information so they don’t get taken advantage of. When pricing is fully transparent, providers have to charge what is fair creating a better system for you and your pet!
What's an ambassador and how does the program work?
Eusoh doesn’t only save you money, with our ambassador program, we want to put more money in your pocket! Simply refer new members and we will pay you once those members complete registration and submit their deposit. It’s that easy! You don't sell anything, you simply advocate eusoh to the people you know. Being an ambassador is completely voluntary - there are no requirements to join. It’s a simple way to earn some money on the side while protecting pets in need!
How does it benefit me and my business?
We provide you with media files filled with simple-to-use tools that allow you to spread the word about Eusoh as well as your personal brand. As a Eusoh ambassador, you are a trusted advocate to help pets get the care they deserve at a cost everyone can afford. We know you love pets and we want to reward you for helping to spread the love!
What are my responsibilities as an ambassador?
Being an ambassador is straightforward. Tell your friends, family, co-workers, and clients about Eusoh. It’s up to you to choose how many people you want to refer and how hard you want to work. So, let’s say you have a social following of 500 people and 200 of your followers sign up for Eusoh. If they complete the registration process and become active Eusoh community members, you can make up to $8,000 dollars!
How do I get paid?
It’s simple! Sign up for the Eusoh Ambassador program and start referring your network. Each time a new member signs up using your ambassador code, completes their registration, and joins a group, you will get paid $40! The more referrals you have, the more money you make!
*In order for a registration to be considered valid, the user must register for Eusoh, add a pet, and join a group. Offer is only valid during the first year of subscription.
How does Eusoh track my subscribers?
When your referrals sign up for Eusoh, make sure they enter your ambassador code so that we can keep track of them in our system.
How do I sign up to be an ambassador?
Fill out our ambassador form here to create a personal ambassador code and spread the word about Eusoh! You’ll be earning money in no time!
How do I resign from the ambassador program?
No need to send us an email, we will see that you’ve become inactive in our system. Don’t worry, all of your referrals that are still active will continue to pay you your quarterly bonus.

What payment methods do you accept?
When you sign up you have the option to link a debit card, bank account or credit card. We do not store this info on our site. The money will be debited from your account as needed through a third-party payment processor. We want to reduce the risk of fraudulent activity, especially the creation of fake accounts and/or fake charges for reimbursement, to ensure that our members have the most secure and reliable community possible. Reimbursements cannot be sent to credit cards. If you link a credit card, when it is time to withdraw money back into your bank account, you will be prompted to add your bank account information at that time.

How do I update my account information/change my password?
After logging in, navigate to your Accounts dashboard. You will be able to update your password as well as edit your privacy and notification settings. If you need to change anything else, please contact us at email@example.com.
How do I edit my pet’s profile?
If you didn’t upload a picture of your pet during registration or have changed their name, simply navigate to your Subscriptions dashboard and click on your pet’s profile. Click the edit option to update your profile with correct information. If you need to change anything else, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
How do I share Eusoh with my network?
From your Accounts dashboard, you will see options to share Eusoh with your community. Additionally, you can sign up to be a Eusoh ambassador.
What happens if my pet passes away?
In the event this happens, please contact us at email@example.com. We will make sure to update your pet’s status so that you are no longer charged.
Can I cancel at any time?
If you are an active member of a group, you are committed to sharing with your group for 1 year. If you do need to cancel during your annual commitment, you will, unfortunately, forfeit your initial deposit. That deposit will be used to help offset the expenses of the group that you left.
However, if you have not joined a group, you are free to cancel at any time.
How do I deactivate my account?
In order to deactivate your account, please go to the Accounts dashboard. From there, click the deactivate button and your subscription will be closed. Once your account has been deactivated, you will no longer be charged your subscription fee to Eusoh.
